UTStarcom showcased one of its thinnest CDMA bar-style camera phone. The handset measures 4.4" (h) x 1.9" (w) x 0.4" (d), weighs just 2.5 ounces. It may be small but that doesn't mean the company has cut down on features.

The handset comes equipped with an internal antenna, Bluetooth(R) technology for wire-free hands-free calling; Web browsing powered by Openwave 6.3.0.7, built-in speakerphone and voice-activated dialing.

Users will also come across a VGA CMOS camera and a 1.8" 65K Color TFT (128 x 160) color main display that supports JPG, PNG, GIF87, and BMP video formats. MIDI, MP3, QCP, CMX, and PMD audio format ringtones are supported and the phone has a 64 MB Flash/32 MB RAM memory capacity.

Some other key features include; text messaging with T9 predictive text, voice memo, a 500-entry phone book, two pre-loaded games, TTY/TTD capabilities and E911 support.

"The saying 'best things come in small packages' holds true with this device," says Philip Christopher, president of UTStarcom Personal Communications. "This phone will offer high-end design and functionality, but not a high price."
